Restaurant operators were making high-impact staffing decisions from fragmented inputs: spreadsheets, historical intuition, POS trends, union rules, and last-minute floor adjustments
Tempo needed a product that could turn those inputs into a scalable scheduling system. The platform had to generate weekly schedules from historical revenue, projected demand, and labor rules, while giving managers real-time visibility when conditions changed
The system also needed to keep employees aligned through mobile access to schedules, shift updates, and break assignments
