Extending a guest experience platform across web and mobile

A major cruise line partnered with V.Two to bring its mobile guest experience to the web, giving travelers a way to manage itineraries, reservations, and bookings across devices

The Challenge

One of the world’s largest cruise lines had a mobile app for itinerary management, dining reservations, excursions, and onboard bookings. But the guest experience needed to extend beyond mobile, especially for planning-heavy interactions before boarding

The client needed a desktop-first web platform that translated the mobile experience into a responsive browser-based product without starting over. Existing design patterns, architecture, and guest workflows had to be extended cleanly, and the platform had to support launch across a global fleet

What We Built

V.Two owned product design, web engineering, backend architecture, and QA automation, adapting the client’s existing mobile experience into a responsive web platform

  • Design — V.Two designed a desktop-first guest experience spanning pre-board planning and onboard itinerary management. The interface extended the client’s existing design system to the web, with high-fidelity Figma mockups guiding implementation
  • Web Engineering — V.Two built responsive front-end components on the client’s design system and documented a reusable component library to support consistency across the product
  • Backend Architecture — V.Two designed the data models, API patterns, and integration layer needed to connect the web platform to the client’s existing systems while staying aligned with the mobile experience
  • QA Automation — V.Two built QA automation from the ground up, including structured test cases, automation scripts, and validation processes to support confident deployment across the fleet

What the Client Owns

  • A desktop web platform for guest itinerary, reservation, and booking management
  • A reusable component library built on the client’s design system
  • Backend architecture and integration patterns for fleet-scale use
  • QA automation infrastructure for ongoing iteration
